CÓRus, Ireland’s leading provider of fun singing classes for adults, are seeking suitably qualified people to join our growing team of part-time (day and evening) CÓRus Teachers. A music qualification (instrument or voice) is preferable but NOT essential. Formal teaching experience, while desirable, is not an absolute requirement, consideration will be given to those with experience of teaching a choir or music group.
CÓRus classes are upbeat and uplifting so we are looking for people who possess a good voice, a great musical ear and above all a good personality and a great sense of humour. If you are blessed with infectious enthusiasm, a love of music and a passion for singing and teaching then this is the job for you.
Successful applicants will receive initial and ongoing training in the CÓRus teaching methodology which will include shadowing established class teachers, following which they will be supported in setting up a CÓRus class or classes in their local or surrounding area. All CÓRus classes adhere to a common curriculum with a syllabus that changes each term. CÓRus teachers work to a specific weekly teaching programme designed by our creative team. Teachers may take one or many classes, remuneration is subject to the number of classes a leader takes each week.
