Testimonials!

Corus Choir
I was a HAPPY child who loved to sing - but in school at the tender age of nine my teacher told me "STOP IN THE NAME OF LOVE - just mouth the words "! Well that was a bitter disappointment but I knew BIG GIRLS DON'T CRY so for the next 47 years I was no SONGBIRD .Instead ,foolishly, I perfected my impersonation of a goldfish -  great lip movements .......no sound ! Then fast forward to Christmas 2013, in a friend’s HOME a chance conversation about singing I confessed " I STILL HAVENT FOUND WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR" Read more...

Who are CÓRus classes for?

P1020993

CÓRus singing classes are open to men and women over 18yrs and appeals to those who love to sing but may not have the confidence to join a choir or sing in public.

In CÓRus we believe that we all have the right and the ability to sing.  We want to give everyone the opportunity to learn to sing with like-minded people in a fun and relaxed environment.

People coming along to one of our classes do not have to audition or be able to read music.

CÓRus uses a unique and simple method of teaching singing, harmony and movement that is easily accessible to all.

How do I sign up for a class?

Corus Classes

Anyone interested in coming along to a CÓRus class can simply register their interest online  here or check out their nearest venue on our classes page and go along ten minutes before class start time and register at the door. Newcomers can attend a ‘try out’ class to see if  it’s for them before they commit to signing up for the term.

Signing up online is also very easy. Go to our payment  page and use a credit/debit card to make a payment. You can register for one term at a time or for all three terms. There are a number of payment options available – please refer to the payment page

How much does it
cost?

P1020938

CÓRus offers fantastic value for money. Our classes run for an hour and a half and cost €110 for a ten week term – with three terms each year running from Sept – May. (Córus operates a sliding scale rate for new class members joining later in a term).

On receipt of a class fee, you will receive  materials which include a CD and lyrics. Each class covers the same curriculum and you may attend one or more classes each week.

CÓRus also runs up to three joint rehearsals a year which are free to class members.

CÓRus classes are also invited to participate at various events during the year which are fun and exciting to take part in. Class members are invited but not obliged to take part in any activity outside of class.

CÓRus News:

Our next Joint Rehearsal will take place on May 7th 2017. Please see details under the Helix 2017 section of the Home Page.

Dundrum and Rathfarnham classes are taking part in Darkness into Light, Marley Park on May 6th 2017. Exact times and details to follow.

Online payments – Please note that CÓRus  now has a fully online payment system. Class members paying online will have to provide an email address and a password to set up an account on the website. You will receive a confirmation email with an order number – this must be written on the box provided on the payment envelope you will receive in class.

Those paying at class will be issued with a password via email that they can then change to one of their choice. This password will then be used to access the password protected “class members only” section containing the music and movement downloads as well as other information.

New CÓRus classes open regularly.
